Day 18--South Lake Tahoe, CA to Groveland, CA (but mainly Yosemite)

Yesterday I drove from South Lake Tahoe to Groveland, where I just arrived. However, I spent most of the day at Yosemite National Park.

I left S. Lake Tahoe around 8am. The trip to the entrance of Yosemite took around 2.5 hours and was a nice route. On this route, I noticed some of the most expensive gas I've ever seen in the US (one station was $4.999 per gallon) and I stopped at a scenic overlook to take this picture.
Once entering Yosemite, I followed the road to into the Yosemite Valley and auto-toured the park at first. However, once arriving in the central area of the park, there was enough traffic and difficulty finding parking that I opted for the free shuttle bus.

I'll try to maybe add some more details tomorrow (writing this on my phone now) but here are some highlights from around Yosemite.

I will say that the last pictures were taken at Glacier Point, which was well worth the trip which was out of the way and was spectacular at sunset (it was my favorite place in Yosemite).

Next Stop: Las Vegas, NV
